It's sad news to share today. Following 3 year battle with cancer Farrah Fawcett died at 62 06/25/2009. This just two days after beloved Ed McMahon passed away. Farrah Fawcett died today at 62, just shy of six weeks since the airing of "Farrah's Story," the documentary that detailed her courageous battle against cancer.

Farrah Fawcett, who soared to fame as a national sex symbol in the late 1970s on television's campy "Charlie's Angels" and in a swimsuit poster that showcased her feathery mane and made her a generation's favorite pinup, died today. She was 62.

When a well known and much loved celebrity experiences tragedy, it often feels like something that's happening to a member of our own family or a close friend.

Like many people my age, I grew up watching Classic 70s Television Shows like Charlies Angels. And, yes, I did, in fact, have the classic Farrah Fawcett poster on my wall for many years.

While respecting their privacy is very important, I also think that the public needs the opportunity to share a little our love with them and to wish them only the best.
